Updated: Feb 22, 2020

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited International student graduates, skilled workers, and Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in a draw held on January 30, 2020.

The 181 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were sent out to candidates from the following three streams:

Out of the 181 LAAs issued, 11 were sent to candidates who had a valid Express Entry profile.

Manitoba invites eligible Express Entry candidates

Those who choose the Express Entry route are given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that assesses their human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, and official language proficiency.

The highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence in regular Express Entry draws. With a provincial nomination, an Express Entry candidate will receive an additional 600 points toward their overall CRS score, effectively guaranteeing them an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
